The University of Missouri School of Law Veterans Clinic, through its Show-Me Home Program (LSV-H), is partnering with the Kansas City VA Medical Center to host a free legal event for Homeless Veterans and Veterans At-Risk for Homelessness.
Veterans eligible for the Show Me Home Program must have:
- Served in the active military, naval, air, or space service, and have been discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable;
- Meet the definition of homeless under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and 38 CFR 79.15(a); or be at-risk for homelessness as defined in 38 CFR Part 79.15(b); and
- Be a Missouri resident.
Along with experienced attorneys, Mizzou Veterans Clinic Students will offer consultations to help eligible veterans free of charge with:
- Discharge upgrades,
- Character of Discharge (COD) reviews/upgrades, and
- Service connection claims/appeals
