The University of Missouri School of Law Veterans Clinic will host a free legal assistance event for homeless veterans and veterans at risk of homelessness on April 3, 2026, in Waynesville, Missouri. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 301 U.S. Route 66 in Waynesville.
The event is being organized through the clinic’s Show-Me Home Program and is held in partnership with the Pulaski County Veterans Treatment Court. The program is designed to connect vulnerable veterans with free legal assistance related to military service and veterans’ benefits.
During the event, experienced attorneys and Mizzou Law Veterans Clinic students will provide free consultations to eligible veterans. Assistance will focus on discharge upgrades, character of service reviews and upgrades, and VA service-connection claims and appeals.
Veterans who wish to participate must meet the eligibility requirements for the Show-Me Home Program. Eligible participants must have served in the active military, naval, air, or space service and have been discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. In addition, veterans must currently be experiencing homelessness or be at serious risk of losing their housing. This can include veterans who are living in shelters, temporary housing, transitional programs, or other unstable living situations. Participants must also be residents of Missouri.
