TransLand Donates to Veterans Clinic to Support Missouri Veterans

August 28, 2023

Missouri-based trucking company TransLand has donated more than $4,000 to the MU Veterans Clinic to support Missouri veterans.

Last year, TransLand introduced its innovative camouflage fleet. While this fleet of camo semis provided aesthetic appeal and efficient delivery services, it also held a greater and profound purpose — making a meaningful contribution to veterans throughout the state.

TransLand initiated a unique and unconventional campaign — they would donate 5 cents for every mile driven by Transland driver and Army veteran Patrick Flores to a local veterans organization. Recognizing the impactful work of the Mizzou Law Veterans Clinic in supporting veterans statewide, TransLand chose to donate the first-year mileage of the camo semi to bolster the clinic’s efforts.

Spanning throughout 2022 to 2023, Flores covered an impressive distance of 81,011 miles. This resulted in in a remarkable donation of $4,050 to the Mizzou Law Veterans Clinic. The unexpectedness of the donation was met with immense gratitude from the Clinic as it provides crucial support to continue the mission of offering pro bono representation to veterans.

“We are honored by the creativity and generosity of TransLand in supporting veterans in this way,” Clinic Director Brent Filbert said.  “The needs of veterans are immense and the support of our generous donors, like TransLand, is one of the main reasons we are able to serve as many veterans as we do.”
